About transfering purchase to my iphone

Why if i paid the most expensive edition, the one for my mac computer. Im not able to transfer it to my iphone. It appears that your company will like me to buy the same program i allready bought but because its for the iphone they charge you additional $39? I think that is not right. Since most of the apps being offer through the apps store are allready iphone compatible @ not extra charge.

Will like to hear a response.
